DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 2010 KIA Forte AUTOMOBILES

CV AXLE SHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 2010 KIA Forte LX 2.0 L4 GAS
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove wheel nuts and front wheels.
- Remove driveshaft cotter pin, castle nut and washer from front hub.
- Remove bolts securing wheel speed sensor from steering knuckle.
- Disconnect tie rod ball joint from knuckle using suitable tool.
- Disconnect ball joint from steering knuckle using suitable tool.
- Remove lower arm ball joint mounting bolts.
- Tap on driveshaft front hub assembly using plastic hammer.
- Push front hub assembly outward and separate driveshaft from hub assembly.
