- Disconnect all hoses from water pump.
- Remove alternator upper and lower mounting braces, if necessary.
- Remove water pump retaining bolts, Figs. and , then water pump from engine.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque water pump retaining bolts to 30 ft. lbs.

- Disconnect batteries, then drain cooling system.
- Remove fan, then fan shroud.
