In most circumstances a base brake bleed is all that is required for most component replacements (such as wheel cylinders, calipers, brake tubes, and master cylinder) except for BPMV replacement.
The following automated ABS bleed procedure is required when one of the following occur: Manual bleeding at the wheel cylinders does not achieve the desired pedal height or feel. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve replacement (BPMV). Extreme loss of brake fluid has occurred. Air ingestion is suspected.

- Remove engine splash shield.
- Insert a suitable drift or punch through brake caliper and into brake rotor to prevent wheel hub and bearing from turning.
- Remove wheel drive shaft spindle nut.
- Remove stabilizer shaft link.
- Disconnect outer tie rod end from steering knuckle. Do not loosen tie rod end jam nut.
- Disconnect wheel speed sensor electrical connector, then reposition wiring harness away from ball joint.
- Disconnect lower ball joint from steering knuckle.

- Place the ignition switch in the On position.
- Using the keyless entry transmitters press the lock and unlock buttons at the same time until a horn chirp sounds indicating the learn mode has been actuated. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
- Using the DIC (Driver Information Center) press and release the Info button until the Tire Learn message is indicated on the DIC display. Depress and hold the Set/Reset button until two horn chips are sounded indicating the Learn Mode has been actuated. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
