The TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) warns the driver when a significant loss, or gain of tire pressure occurs in any of the four tires and allows the driver to display the individual tire pressures and the locations on the DIC (Driver Information Center) display. The system consists of the BCM (Body Control Module), DIC, instrument cluster, RCDLR (Remote Control Door Lock Receiver), RF (Radio Frequency transmitting tire pressure sensor in each wheel and serial data circuit. Each tire pressure sensor has an internal power supply with a service life of 10 years.

- On models equipped with skid plate, remove skid plate mounting bolts and skid plate.
- On all models, remove front transmission cover bolt.
- Remove starter motor mounting bolts.
- Disconnect engine wiring harness electrical connector from oil level sensor.
- Slide starter forward until it clears transmission, then properly support starter. Avoid cable and wiring damage. DO NOT suspend starter by cables or wires attached to solenoid terminals. Use a rope or mechanics wire to suspend starter.
