  • Remove glove compartment undercover panel, then glove compartment.
  • Disconnect intake and discharge lines from cooling unit fittings.
  • Remove cooling unit line grommets then, glove compartment.
  • Disconnect A/C wire harness connectors.
  • Remove seal plates, drain hose, cooling unit attaching nuts, then the cooling unit.
  • Reverse procedure to install.

  • With pedal depressed, start engine. After starting engine, pedal should move down slightly. If so, unit is functioning.
  • After engine has run two minutes, turn it off. Depress pedal with normal force.
  • If the first pedal stroke is long and gets shorter with subsequent strokes, the unit is operating. If a problem is found, inspect check valve, vacuum hose and installation. Repair if necessary and check again.
  • Start engine and depress pedal with usual force.
