- On models equipped with power steering, remove power steering pump with hoses still connected.
- On models less power steering, remove idler.
- On all models, disconnect water hoses.
- Remove mounting bolts and water pump, Fig. .
- Remove mounting bolt and inlet pipe.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Install new rubber seal with suitable bonding agent.
- Torque water pump mounting bolts to 14-18 ft. lbs.

- Remove master cylinder as described in "Hydraulic Brake".
- Remove clutch pipe holder, if equipped, then disconnect vacuum hose from power brake unit.
- Disconnect pushrod fork from brake pedal and remove power brake unit from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install. On all models except Navajo, booster bolts are torqued to 14-17 ft.lbs. On Navajo models, booster bolts ore torqued to 13-25 ft.lbs.
