The dual electric fans are temperature controlled. The fans are switched to low speed when refrigerant pressure is 20.4 square inches (20 bar) and in high speed when engine temperature reaches 221°F. At maximum speed both fans draw about 26 amps at 13 volts.

The fan has two operating modes. Low speed, which is activated when the refrigerant pressure reaches 20.4 square inches (20 bar). High speed is activated by a temperature switch, once coolant temperature reaches 221°F a relay than the switch is activated.
