- Drain cooling system, then remove air cleaner assembly.
- Disconnect upper and lower coolant hoses from radiator.
- Disconnect fan shroud clips and position over fan, then remove radiator.
- Disconnect coolant lines from water pump.
- Remove fan assembly, then the water pump drive belt and pulley. If water pump pulley cannot be pulled off by hand, remove center screw and force pulley off with an M10x1x45 bolt.
- Disconnect electrical connector from water pump magnetic clutch and remove the clutch.

- Disconnect middle or rear muffler suspension and lower exhaust system at muffler and support, Fig. .
- Remove exhaust heat shield, then the reinforcement brace.
- Remove seat belt bracket.
- Remove mounting bolts and nuts, then disconnect front driveshaft from transmission. Flexible disc remains on driveshaft.
- Remove mounting bolts and nuts, then disconnect rear driveshaft from differential carrier. Flexible disc remains on driveshaft.
- Loosen flexible discs fitted sleeves using suitable 6-inch long, .3974-.4725 inch diameter steel drift.
