- Operate A/C system and inspect receiver drier inlet and outlet piping temperature by hand.
- If a difference in temperatures is present, the receiver drier is restricted and should be replaced.

- Remove cotter pin, wheel bearing nut and washer.
- Disconnect lower control arm ball joint from knuckle using tool No. MB991113 or equivalent.
- Disconnect tie rod end from knuckle using tool No. MB991113 or equivalent.
- Disconnect center bearing snap ring if equipped.
- On models without center bearing, proceed as follows:
- Insert pry bar between transaxle case and driveshaft, then pry driveshaft from transaxle. Do not pull on driveshaft, or insert pry bar deep enough to damage oil seal.
