- Remove axle shaft hex bolt. (Only loosen when vehicle is resting on wheels there is a-risk of accident.)
- Remove wheel.
- Unbolt axle shaft at flange shaft. It is a hex key head bolt or multi-point key head bolt.
- Pull ABS speed sensor wiring out from retainer on brake caliper.
- Remove ABS speed sensor from wheel bearing housing.
- Remove nut, remove hex bolt, and pull both control arms out upward. Slits in wheel bearing housing must not be widened using a chisel or similar tool!

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove protective cap and disconnect electrical connections at alternator.
- Clamp off alternator coolant hoses using suitable hose clamps.
- Remove bolt and coolant pipes from alternator. Coolant hoses may remain connected to coolant pipes.
- If belts are to be reused mark direction of rotation, before removing drive belts. Belt damage will result if not reinstalled in proper direction.
- Install an M8x50 bolt in tensioner threaded bore and tighten until drive belt can be removed.
