Removal & Disassembly
- Raise and support front of vehicle and remove wheels.
- Remove banjo bolt and disconnect brake line from caliper. Secure hose in raised position to prevent leakage.
- Remove caliper pin bolt and the caliper, Figs. through .
- On Legend & Vigor models, remove pad spring from caliper.
- On all models, position a block of wood or shop rag in caliper opposite piston, then carefully remove piston by applying compressed air into fluid inlet port. Use only as much air pressure as is needed to remove piston.
- Remove piston boot and seal.

Never drive vehicle while ALB checker is operating. A collision may result from a reduction or complete loss of braking ability.
The checker should be used through modes 0-6 on all models except 1991-92 Legend and 1992 Vigor, and modes 0-5 for 1991-92 Legend and 1992 Vigor, to confirm proper system operation under any of the following conditions:
- After replacing or bleeding system fluid, 0 mode is not required.

- Loosen brake light switch locknut, then back off switch until it breaks contact with brake pedal.
- Loosen pushrod locknut, then turn pushrod in or out as necessary until pedal height measures as follows:
- 6.10 inches (manual transaxle) 6.3 inches (automatic transaxle) on 1990-92 Integra models.
- 6.7 inches on 1990 Legend models, 8.4 inches on 1991-92 Legend models.
- 7.83 inches (manual transaxle) 7.64 inches (automatic transaxle) on 1992 Vigor models.
