Alternator
- Disconnect battery ground cable from battery.
- Loosen alternator nut and through bolt.
- Loosen alternator adjusting bolt to relieve belt tension.
- Remove alternator drive belt.
- Clean and inspect belt surfaces of all pulleys.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque adjusting bolt to 84 in. lbs.
- Torque alternator through bolt to 33 ft. lbs.
- Torque alternator nut to 17 ft. lbs.
Air Conditioning
- Disconnect battery ground cable from battery.
- Loosen tensioner lock nut.
