- Remove wheel.
- Remove the bottom caliper bolt, and turn caliper up as in Fig. .
- Remove following parts:
- Two anti-squeal springs.
- Two brake pads.
- Four anti-squeal shims.
- Two pad wear indicators.
- Four pad support plates.
- On models with four piston calipers, install new pad support plates.
- On all models, install pads as follows:
- Install wear indicators on pads.
- Apply disc brake grease to both anti-squeal shim. Then install shims on each pad.

DISASSEMBLY
- Remove caliper as previously described.
- On ES 250 models, remove sliding bushing, dust boots and main pin boot.
- On all models, remove cylinder boot set ring and cylinder boot.
- Place a piece of cloth between piston and caliper assembly. Using compressed air, remove piston.

For the following procedure, refer to Figs. and .
- On ES 250 models, remove charcoal canister.
- On LS 400 models with TRAC, remove TRAC assembly. Refer to "TRAC Actuator, Replace."
- On all models, disconnect level warning switch connector.
- Draw fluid out of reservoir with syringe.
- Remove brake lines from master cylinder.
- Remove three nuts, then the master cylinder and gasket from brake booster.
Disassembly
For the following procedure, refer to Figs. and for assistance.
