- Disconnect 55-pin plug from electronic control unit, then attach Anti-Lock Breakout Box/Bleeding Adapter tool No. T90P-50-ALA or equivalent to wiring harness 55-pin plug.
- Place bleed/harness switch in bleed position.
- Turn ignition to On position, the red Off light should turn on.

- Disconnect master cylinder from booster and position aside.It is not necessary to disconnect brake lines, but care should be taken to avoid twisting or kinking lines.
- Disconnect manifold vacuum hose from booster check valve.
- Working under instrument panel, disconnect stop lamp switch electrical connector under instrument panel.

- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Using a chisel, unstake and remove halfshaft retaining nut and washer.Discard nut and washer.
- Remove brake pads and caliper from the steering knuckle as outlined. Support the caliper by a wire strung from the coil spring. Do not disconnect the brake line from the caliper.
- Using tie rod end separator tool No. T85M-3395-A or equivalent, disconnect the tie rod end from the steering knuckle.
