Vehicle: 1990 Mercury Topaz 2.3 L4 GAS
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
- Loosen hose clamp and disconnect upper radiator hose.
- Remove two fasteners retaining upper end of fan shroud to radiator and sight shield.
- On models with air conditioning, remove nut and screw retaining upper end of fan shroud to radiator at cross support.
- Remove nut and screw at inlet end tank.
- Disconnect air conditioning discharge line.
- On all models, disconnect cooling fan motor connector.
- Remove fan shroud from vehicle.
- Loosen hose clamp and disconnect radiator lower hose from radiator.
