- Set Mode lever to DEF position.
- Remove mode wire from clip A Fig. .
- Align set pin hole at B of link with matching hole of heater unit. Using .24 inch diameter pin, align link to correct position.
- Ensure Mode lever is in DEF position.

The system must be completely discharged before evacuation. After discharging the system, keep low pressure gauge hose connected to low pressure test fitting and both manifold gauge valves closed.

- Disconnect battery ground cable, then discharge refrigerant from cooling system.
- Remove glove compartment undercover panel, then glove compartment.
- Disconnect intake and discharge lines from cooling unit fittings.
- Remove cooling unit line grommets then, glove compartment.
- Disconnect A/C wire harness connectors.
- Remove seal plates, drain hose, cooling unit attaching nuts, then the cooling unit.
- Reverse procedure to install.
