- Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove radiator sight shield.
- Disconnect electrical connector, then remove integrated relay control assembly from radiator support, Fig. .
- Disconnect electrical fan connector, then separate connector located at top of fan shroud.
- Remove male terminal connector clip from shroud mounting tab, then remove air bag crash sensor.
- Remove fan shroud from radiator.

- Remove clutch hub retaining nut using Spanner Wrench tool No. T81P-19623-MH, or equivalent. On 10P15A compressors, use Strap Wrench D85L-6000-A, or equivalent. It is necessary to connect field coil to a 12V source to energize the coil engaging the clutch.
- On Capri and Festiva, remove pressure plate using Pressure Plate Remover tool No. T88C-19623-A, or equivalent, Fig. .
