Drive axle
- Raise and support vehicle.
- On models with ABS, remove ABS wheel speed sensor.
- On all models, remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Unstake, then remove driveshaft nut and washer.
- Remove ball joint pinch bolt, then pry ball joint from knuckle.
- On models except sedan, pry inboard driveshaft joints from transaxle using a pry bar or large screwdriver.
- On sedan models, remove drive axle as follows:
- Pry lefthand side inboard driveshaft joint from transaxle using a large screwdriver.
- Using a suitable soft mallet, tap at base of right inner joint to remove from intermediate driveshaf...
