Accessing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are accessed by connecting a suitable programmed scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC) and following the tool manufacturer's instructions. On XJS, XJ6 and XJ12 and 1995-97 XJR models, the DLC is located on the instrument panel, between the steering column and center console.
