  • Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
  • Remove clips (1) securing retaining pins (2), Fig. .
  • Remove pins and anti-rattle springs (3), then the pads (4).
  • Compress pistons into caliper bores using piston compression tool No. 64932392, or equivalent, Fig. .
  • Reverse procedure to install.
XJ6 & XJ12 & 1995-97 XJR
  • Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
  • Disconnect brake pad wear sensor connector.
  • Remove lower guide pin bolt.
  • Pivot caliper upward and remove brake pads.
  • Compress piston and reverse procedure to install.
