This fan is driven by an electric motor which is attached to the radiator support. The cooling fan is controlled by the PCM, based on inputs from the coolant temperature sensor, A/C fan control switch and vehicle speed. The PCM controls the fan through a ground circuit, which energizes the fan control relay, supplying voltage to the fan motor.

The PCM grounds the circuit when coolant temperature is over 223°F or when A/C is On.
