The cooling fan operates when engine temperature exceeds a certain value. The cooling fan is controlled by the PCM and has only one speed. The PCM turns the cooling fan on by grounding the coil of the cooling fan relay when certain conditions are met. The cooling fan is also turned on when the A/C is turned on.
