  • Stop engine and depress brake pedal a few times to relieve vacuum.
  • With pedal depressed, start engine. After starting engine, pedal should move down slightly. If so, unit is functioning.
  • After engine has run two minutes, turn it off. Depress pedal with normal force.
  • If the first pedal stroke is long and gets shorter with subsequent strokes, the unit is operating. If a problem is found, inspect check valve, vacuum hose and installation. Repair if necessary and check again.
  • Start engine and depress pedal with usual force.
