- Remove fuse box cover, then dash panel side trim panel.
- Remove lower trim panel mounting screw, then the trim panel.
- Disconnect courtesy lamp harness connector.
- Remove glove compartment as follows:
- Remove screws from glove compartment lower hinge and latch striker.
- Remove glove compartment from upper trim pad, then disconnect glove compartment lamp switch connector.

- With transmission in neutral and parking brake released, raise and support vehicle, then remove underbody braces, as required.
- Remove exhaust system as follows:
- Disconnect AIR pipe from catalytic converter and exhaust pipe.
- Disconnect electrical connector to oxygen sensor.
- Remove bolts securing muffler to hangers, disconnect exhaust pipes from manifolds and remove exhaust system as an assembly.

- Loosen the lug nuts.
- Raise and support vehicle with jack stands, then remove the wheel and tire assembly.
- Prior to dismounting the tire from the wheel, note the following precautions:
- Position the bead breaking fixture 90° from the valve stem when separating the tire bead from the wheel.
- Place the mounting and dismounting head so that the tire iron or pry bar can be inserted slightly clockwise of the sensor body when prying the tire bead up and over the head.
