- Remove approximately 2/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder.
- Raise and support front of vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
- Using suitable C-clamp, push piston back into caliper bore, Fig. .
- If caliper assembly is being removed for service, remove inlet fitting attaching bolt, copper washer, and inlet fitting from caliper housing. Before bleeding the brakes, the front and rear displacement cylinder pistons must be returned to their top most position as outlined under "Rehome."

Scan Tool
All Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) must be repaired and cleared before attempting to rehome displacement cylinder pistons. Using suitably programmed scan tool, follow tool manufacturers instructions.

On 1997-98 models, refer to " Scan Tool."
ABS warning lamp must not be illuminated. Do not place foot on brake pedal unless specifically directed to do so.
