R-134a systems require the use of special service equipment designed specifically for R-134a systems. R-12 servicing equipment cannot be used on R-134a systems.
Refrigerant-12 recovery stations cannot be used on Refrigerant-134a systems. A separate recovery station must be used on R-134a systems. The refrigerants are not compatible and will contaminate the R-12 recovery station.
