  • Disconnect A/C amplifier and evaporator thermistor electrical connectors.
  • Disconnect and cap evaporator case refrigerant inlet and outlet pipes.
  • Remove evaporator case drain hose.
  • Remove evaporator case two attaching bolts and one nut, then the case.
  • Depress A/C amplifier two lower locking tabs, then slide amplifier upward to remove.

Before installing replacement compressor, drain oil from replacement and failed compressors (drain oil from suction port). Add same amount of oil to replacement compressor as drained from failed compressor.

Remove defective components. Add the proper amount of oil to each replacement component. Most recovery/recycling equipment will measure the amount of oil being removed. This is the amount of oil to be added back to the system, follow manufactures instructions provided with the recovery/recycling station.
