  • Remove shaft seal felt from nose of compressor.
  • Remove snap ring as follows:
    • Insert tip of snap ring remover tool No. T89P-19623-DH, or equivalent, into one eye of the snap ring, Fig. .
    • Rotate snap ring until eye is close to compressor shaft, Fig. .

  • On models where clutch plate is retained with a nut, remove clutch hub and shims from compressor shaft using hub remover tool No. T80L-19703-B, or equivalent, Fig. .
  • On models where clutch plate is retained by a bolt, lift assembly and shims from compressor. If necessary, thread a suitable bolt into clutch plate hub to break hub free of shaft, Fig. .
