- Remove instrument panel as outlined under "Instrument Panel."
- Disconnect mini-tube vacuum hoses from vacuum control motor. Pay attention to vacuum line routing to aid in installation.
- Remove two screws retaining vacuum control motor to the heater air plenum chamber.
- Lift vacuum control motor away from heater air plenum chamber and gently pry vacuum control motor arm away form the pin of the door cam.
- Remove vacuum control motor from vehicle.

Disconnect negative battery cable for a minimum of five minutes. After clearing memory, it is required to drive vehicle a minimum of 10 miles to allow PCM time to relearn operating strategy.

- Prior to removing old PCM, connect a suitably programmed scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).

- Disconnect electrical connector and vacuum hoses from manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.
