- Remove radiator pressure cap. Never open cap with engine hot.
- Remove and drain coolant reservoir.
- If equipped, remove drain plug(s) from engine. When coolant is completely drained, install the plug(s).
- Close radiator drain plug.
- Install coolant reservoir.

- Recover refrigerant as outlined under using manifold gauge as follows:
- Fully close low pressure valve of manifold gauge.
- Connect low pressure charging hose of manifold gauge to low pressure service valve.
- Open low pressure manifold gauge valve slightly, and slowly recover refrigerant from system.
- Disconnect low pressure hose.
- Disconnect high pressure hose.
