- Place front wheels in straight-ahead position.
- Turn ignition to Lock and remove key, then disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove Air Bag and "IG" fuses from junction/fuse box, Figs. through , located under lefthand side of instrument panel.
- Remove lefthand upper steering column cap, then unlock and disconnect driver's air bag module yellow connector.
- Open glove compartment door, then push stoppers on lefthand and righthand sides and remove glove compartment.
- Disconnect passenger's air bag yellow connector.
- Allow 90 seconds for SDM...

- Recover refrigerant as outlined under . Care should be taken to avoid excess compressor oil discharge with refrigerant.
- Remove front grille.
- Remove compressor delivery hose and condenser outlet pipe from condenser inlet and outlet fittings. Cap open fittings.
- Remove condenser.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Add 0.7-1.0 oz. of refrigerant oil to compressor suction side when replacing condenser assembly.
- Torque 1/4 line fittings to 9.5 ft. lbs.
