Compressor Clutch Does Not Engage
- Check condition of A/C system wires, connections and fuses.
- Check A/C compressor drive belt for wear or improper tension.
- Start engine, then turn A/C On.
- Using a jumper wire, briefly connect both blue wires (terminal Nos. 1 and 2) on A/C pressure switch. Do not jump terminals longer than necessary. Damage will occur to clutch and A/C system.
- If A/C compressor clutch engages, system is low on refrigerant.

The electric cooling fan uses a radiator thermoswitch to control fan motor operation. The fan operates at first speed when engine coolant temperature is 192°F. The fan operates at second speed when coolant temperature is 203°F. Additionally, thermostatically controlled fan shutters are used to control airflow through the radiator. The shutters are controlled by a unit located between the fan units, mounted on the fan shroud.

- Select "Engine Electronics" address word "01", then press "Q" button to confirm input.
- Press "right arrow" button, "Rapid Data Transfer" and "Select function XX" should appear on the display.
