Compressor Clutch Does Not Engage
- Check condition of A/C system wires, connections and fuses.
- Check A/C compressor drive belt for wear or improper tension.
- Start engine, then turn A/C On.
- Using a jumper wire, briefly connect both blue wires (terminal Nos. 1 and 2) on A/C pressure switch. Do not jump terminals longer than necessary. Damage will occur to clutch and A/C system.
- If A/C compressor clutch engages, system is low on refrigerant.

The fan operates at second speed when coolant temperature is 203°F. Additionally, thermostatically controlled fan shutters are used to control airflow through the radiator.
