This caliper uses an internal screw type parking brake self adjusting mechanism. If the caliper piston is pushed back into caliper this mechanism will be destroyed. Always return piston by rotating it clockwise using a suitable tool.

Accessing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
The ABS control unit has a permanent fault memory. If problems occur at electrically monitored sensors or components they are stored in memory.
Faults are stored with varying priorities, solenoid faults have the highest priority and are displayed first. Faults which occur occasionally, or sporadic faults have the lowest priority and are displayed last.
Do not drive vehicle with VAG 1551 or equivalent scan tool connected.

Brake pads used in this caliper are directional, if pads are to be reinstalled mark them for location prior to removal.
