DRIVELINE, U-JOINT & CV AXLES REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES FOR 1998 Chevrolet Metro AUTOMOBILES

Vehicle: 1998 Chevrolet Metro LSI 1.3 L4 GAS
- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove front tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove one bolt and ABS speed sensor from steering knuckle (if equipped).
- Unstake wheel drive shaft nut.
- Remove wheel drive shaft nut and washer.
- Remove ball stud bolt. Ball stud bolt is threaded into steering knuckle. Protect drive axle seals from sharp tools and from sharp edges of surrounding components. Any damage to seals or clamps, will result in leaking of joint lubricating grease from inner and outer joints; and entering of contaminates into inner and outer joints.
