Before beginning any leak test, attach a manifold gauge set and note pressure. If little or no pressure is indicated, a partial charge must be installed. A recirculation door actuator is only used on models equipped with A/C.
- Remove kick cover from heater and A/C housing, then disconnect vacuum harness connector.
- Insert a suitable wide flat blade tool into latch hole on heater and A/C housing actuator mount to release.
- Pull firmly outward on actuator to remove, then position actuator as required to disengage from hole.
- Remove actuator from vehicle.
- Reverse procedure to install.
