- Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheels.
- If applicable, ensure wheel bearings are properly adjusted.
- Install lug nuts or bolts.
- Mount a dial indicator to vehicle, then position dial indicator plunger so it contacts rotor at a point one inch from outer edge.

Disc Brakes -> Type 5 -> Caliper Service -> Overhaul -> Replace

Replace
- Remove caliper from brake rotor and brake pads from caliper as outlined in "Brake Pad Service."
- Disconnect brake hose at brake caliper, then cap brake line.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Overhaul
- Remove caliper from rotor as outlined under "Brake Pad Service."
- Place a small piece of wood between piston and caliper fingers, then carefully depress brake pedal to hydraulically push piston out of bore. Prop brake pedal to any position below first inch of brake pedal travel to prevent brake fluid loss.

Fluid Reservoir
These models use ISO style flares that are of metric dimension. Use ISO style tubing flares and metric tubing when performing any repairs.
- Remove reservoir caps.
- Remove reservoir brake fluid.
- Remove master cylinder as outlined under "Master Cylinder, Replace."
- Secure master cylinder in suitable vise.
- Remove two reservoir to master cylinder retaining pins, Fig. .
- Rock reservoir side to side and remove from master cylinder. Do not use any tools when removing reservoir.
- Remove sealing grommets
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
