Removal

• Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assemblies.
• Press caliper piston back into bore using suitable large, flat blade screwdriver, Use large C-clamp if additional force is needed.
• Remove caliper mounting bolts with 3/8 hex wrench or socket,

The RWAL diagnostic functions have been integrated into the OBD II diagnostic connector, Fig. , located below the lefthand side of the instrument panel. If a diagnostic trouble code has been stored, both the brake and ABS warning lamps will be illuminated. To access diagnostic trouble codes, proceed as follows:

• Place ignition switch in Run position, then momentarily connect diagnostic connector terminal 13, Fig. , to ground.

• Remove reservoir filler caps and fill reservoir with proper brake fluid.
• If calipers or wheel cylinders were overhauled, open all caliper and wheel cylinder bleed screws.
• Close each bleed screw as fluid starts to drip from them.
• Fill master cylinder reservoir once more before proceeding.
• Attach one end of bleed hose to bleed screw and insert opposite end in glass container partially filled with brake fluid, Fig. . Ensure bleed hose is immersed in fluid.
