- Loosen lower alternator pivot bolt and upper locking nut, then loosen adjusting bolt to remove belt tension.
- Remove the drive belt.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
- Torque alternator lock nut to 15 ft. lbs. To assure proper alignment of alternator assembly. Adjust belt tension by tightening adjusting bolt until proper belt tension is obtained.
