DRIVESHAFT, Replace
Vehicle: 2000 Toyota Tundra 4.7 V8 GAS
- Place vehicle in neutral.
- Release parking brake.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove two center support bearing bolts. While removing set bolts, support center support bearing by hand so that the transmission and intermediate shaft and propeller shaft remain straight line.
- Place reference mark on driveline and differential companion flange. Paint is recommended for match marks. Never damage rear driveline shaft differential flange.

This procedure describes a driveline equipped with cardan joint in tube yoke. Driveline equipped with companion/slip yoke repeat steps to remove remaining cardan joint.
- Place driveshaft on suitable workbench. Do not damage driveshaft when servicing on workbench. Ensure driveline and components are reference marked to prevent driveline imbalance. Do not tighten driveshaft too tightly in a vise because this will cause driveline to become out of balance and result in driveline vibration.

- Remove front wheel lug nuts.
- Remove engine undercover bolts, then remove cover.
- Remove drain plug and drain transaxle fluid into suitable container.
- Remove wheel hub cap and cotter pin.
- While applying brakes, remove locknut.
- Remove cotter pin and nut
- Disconnect lower suspension arm from lower ball joint using suitable tool.
