- On RAV4 models, remove air cleaner cover with air cleaner hose.
- On all models, label and disconnect brake lines using line wrench 09751-36011, 09023-00100, or equivalent. Cap brake lines from master cylinder.
- Disconnect wire connector from brake pressure switch and then disconnect level warning switch connector, if equipped.
- Remove master cylinder to brake unit attaching nuts, then remove master cylinder, wire clamp, gasket and 3-way union, as needed.
- Reverse procedure to install. Bleed brake system.
