This procedure describes a driveline equipped with cardan joint in tube yoke. Driveline equipped with companion/slip yoke repeat steps to remove remaining cardan joint.
- Place driveshaft on suitable workbench. Do not damage driveshaft when servicing on workbench. Ensure driveline and components are reference marked to prevent driveline imbalance.
- Tap outside of bearing cap with a drift to loosen snap ring.
- Remove snap rings from both sides of yoke using suitable tool.
- Position yoke with grease fitting pointing up, if equipped.

- Disconnect cable from battery ground terminal. Some systems need to be initialized after cable is reconnected. After ignition switch is turned OFF, navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning ignition switch OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting cable from ground (-) battery terminal.

This warning lamp will illuminate when tire pressure falls below a specified psi. When the warning lamp illuminates, check the air pressure of the tire and adjust it to specified pressure. When the vehicle is driven more than 18 mph after the adjustment, the lamp will go off.
