- Place vehicle in neutral.
- Release parking brake.
- Raise and support vehicle and support it with safety stands in proper locations.
- Remove bolts and heat insulator bracket.
- Place reference mark on driveline and differential flange. Paint is recommended for match marks. Never damage rear driveline shaft differential flange.
- Remove bolts, nuts, and washers from differential flange.

- Disconnect cable from battery ground terminal. Some systems need to be initialized after cable is reconnected. After ignition switch is turned OFF, navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning ignition switch OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting cable from ground (-) battery terminal.
