- Remove mounting bolts and front splash shield.
- Mark drive belt travel direction for installation alignment.
- Loosen tensioner and remove drive belt.
- On 325 and 330 models, disconnect windshield washer reservoir and set aside.
- On M3 models, proceed as follows:
- Remove expansion rivets and righthand air duct.
- Disconnect clip, then the vent hose and coolant expansion tank overflow hose.
- Disconnect filler neck clip and set washer fluid reservoir aside.

- Remove caps, mounting nuts and wiper arms.
- Remove left and righthand air intake protective grill rubber seals.
- Remove expanding rivets and air intake protective grill.
- Remove mounting bolts and wiper console. Disconnect connector.
- Disconnect clamping straps and remove three fan covers.
- Disconnect connectors and clip, then remove blower motor.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque wiper arm mounting nuts to 18 ft. lbs.

Import Compressor Service -> Nippondenso Compressor -> Compressor Clutch, Replace

- Remove shaft nut or bolt, Fig. , with aid of spanner wrench.
- Remove pressure plate using pressure plate remover.
- Remove shims from shaft.
- Remove rotor (pulley) retaining snap ring using suitable snap ring pliers.
- Remove rotor (pulley) by gently tapping it with plastic hammer. Some compressors may require a jaw puller.
- Disconnect stator lead wires from compressor housing.
- Remove stator retaining snap ring using suitable snap ring pliers, then remove stator from compressor housing.
