- Remove air cleaner assembly.
- Disconnect electrical connector, then remove recovery and windshield washer fluid reservoir assembly.
- Remove two acoustic cover retaining screws in blower motor area.
- Cut acoustic cover between five clip lands, Fig. . Retain piece of acoustic cover for reassembly.
- Remove cooling tube from motor.
- Remove blower motor to case attaching screws.
- Remove blower motor from case.
- Reverse procedure install.

However, on most applications, compressor clutch components can be serviced without removing compressor or recovering refrigerant from system. If refrigerant recovery becomes necessary, refer to for procedure.
To prevent serious internal compressor damage, when removing or installing clutch components, never apply pressure directly to the compressor shaft. Always use a suitable shaft protector.
