With the timing belt removed, avoid turning the camshaft or crankshaft. If movement is required, exercise extreme caution to avoid valve damage.
- Disconnect and isolate the battery ground cable.
- Loosen the righthand front wheel and tire assembly lug nuts.
- Raise and safely support the vehicle with jack stands, then remove the wheel and tire assembly.
