- Disconnect wiring harness from low fluid level warning switch in master cylinder reservoir, then the low fluid warning switch from master cylinder.
- Disconnect brake pressure differential valve warning lamp switch from combination valve, then the front and rear brake tubes from master cylinder.

- Remove sufficient brake fluid from master cylinder reservoir.
- Raise and support vehicle, then remove tire and wheel assembly.
- Remove disc brake caliper as outlined in "Caliper Service".
- On models equipped with 2WD, remove hub grease cap, cotter pin, nut retainer, hub spindle nut and front outer wheel bearing washer, then remove outer wheel bearing.
- On all models, remove front disc brake hub and rotor.
- On models equipped with 4WD, remove hub as outlined under "Halfshaft, Replace," in "All Wheel Drive System."
