- Remove mounting nut and pressure line. Plug or cap lines and openings.
- Remove mounting bolts and condenser.
- Replace receiver as outlined under "Receiver, Replace."
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque lines to 88 inch lbs.

- Disconnect control module with rear compartment vent catch lugs.
- Disconnect electrical connector.

- Remove fan shroud as described under "Water Pump, Replace."
- On models equipped with automatic transmission, remove ATF cooler lines.
- On all models, remove upper frame crossmember, protective blower grille and air deflecting elements.
- Remove condenser from radiator and leave on vehicle with lines connected.
- Remove radiator hoses.
- Remove radiator.
- Reverse procedure to install. Insert attachment lugs in rubber grommets of lower cross member.

Import Compressor Service -> Nippondenso Compressor -> Compressor Clutch, Replace

- Remove shaft nut or bolt, Fig. , with aid of spanner wrench.
- Remove pressure plate using pressure plate remover.
- Remove shims from shaft.
- Remove rotor (pulley) retaining snap ring using suitable snap ring pliers.
- Remove rotor (pulley) by gently tapping it with plastic hammer. Some compressors may require a jaw puller.
- Disconnect stator lead wires from compressor housing.
- Remove stator retaining snap ring using suitable snap ring pliers, then remove stator from compressor housing.
