- Raise rear seat, then pry adjusting device apart.
- Insert a .08 inch feeler gauge between parking brake lever and stop on brake caliper.
- Screw locknut against adjusting sleeve until feeler gauge drops out.
- Apply and release parking brake lever a few times to settle adjusting device.
- Ensure clearance between lever and stop is .02-.08 inch.
- Lower rear seat.

When working on any hydraulic brake components it is extremely important to keep the work area clean. Clean any components that are to be reused with new brake fluid or a cleaning fluid specifically designed for hydraulic components. Wipe all components dry using clean lint-free paper or cloth. Gaskets, seals, O-rings and rubber components should not be reused. Prior to assembly, all components should be generously lubricated with clean brake fluid.

- Drain brake fluid from fluid reservoir.
- Disconnect hydraulic lines from cylinder.
- Temporarily plug these lines to avoid loss of fluid.
- Disconnect brake/warning switch connector on filler cap.
- Remove the two nuts connecting cylinder to brake booster, then the master cylinder.
- Reverse procedure to install, then bleed brake system.
