- Remove center console as outlined under "Dash Panel Service."
- Remove adjuster nut, then cables from equalizer assembly, Fig. .
- Place parking brake lever to highest position.
- Lift equalizer cable over parking brake indicator switch and swing forward. Pull cable down and out of parking brake lever.
- Reverse procedure to install. Adjust parking brake cable.

Brake fluid is corrosive to painted surfaces. Care must be taken not to allow brake fluid to come in contact with painted surfaces on vehicle.
When bleeding the brake system, always bleed righthand rear wheel circuit first, followed by the lefthand front, lefthand rear and, finally, righthand front.

- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove wheel assemblies.
- Disconnect caliper brake fluid lines and plug opening.
- Remove caliper lockpin, guide pin and pin boots.
- Remove caliper from caliper support, ensure not to damage pin boots.
- Remove brake pads.
- Remove two pad clips from caliper support.
- Reverse procedure to install.
Disassemble
- Inspect lockpin and guide pin boots for damage. replace as required.
- Inspect piston boot and lockpin for damage, replace as required.
