  • Drain coolant into a suitable container.
  • Remove engine appearance cover mounting nuts, then the cover.
  • Remove air cleaner hose and resonator assembly.
  • Disconnect heater hoses as required.
  • Disconnect ECT sensor electrical connectors.
  • Remove wiring harness protector mounting nut, disconnect clamp, then move protector away from cylinder head.
  • Remove water inlet pipe mounting nut at lefthand cylinder head, then separate pipe from head. Discard O-ring.
