- Remove anti-squeal shim(s), brake pad, anti-rattle spring, pad guide plate and pad support plate.
- Reverse procedure to install, then bleed brake system.

- Obtain the vehicle owners radio theft protection code prior to disconnecting the battery ground cable, if equipped.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Remove the fuel fill cap to release fuel tank pressure.
- Place a shop towel over the union bolt at top of fuel filter. Slowly loosen the union bolt allowing fuel pressure to bleed down.
- Whenever the union bolt is loosened to relieve fuel system pressure, always replace the bolt gasket.

- On models equipped with 4WD, drain transaxle oil in suitable container.
- On all models, unstake wheel hub nut using suitable tool but do not remove nut.
- Apply brakes and remove lefthand driveline nut.
- Remove nut and separate lefthand front stabilizer link assembly. If ball joint turns together with nut use 6mm tool to hold stud.
