- Remove receiver-drier assembly as outlined under "Receiver-Drier, Replace."
- Remove fresh air intake hose to control module box.
- Remove suction intake hose and intermediate section between fan shroud nozzle and filter.
- On turbocharged models, proceed as follows:
- Disconnect charger air cooler hose and position aside.
- Remove throttle pulley cover.
- On all models, Remove fan shroud and cover radiator with suitable protective panel.
- Disconnect receiver-drier with bracket as outlined under "Receiver-Drier, Replace... "

- Install tool No. J-33939, or equivalent, hold clutch plate, then remove clutch assembly to shaft center bolt, Fig. .
- Install puller tool No. J-33944-A and forcing screw tool No. J-33944-4, or equivalents, remove driveplate, Fig. .
- Remove adjusting shims, Figs. and .
- Install snap ring pliers, remove snap ring.
- Remove pulley using a suitable puller, Fig. .
- Disconnect field coil lead wire, then remove field coil.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
